Walter Eugene Bauer Born: December 13, 1941 in Peoria, IL Died: June 15, 2024 in Peoria, IL Walter Eugene Bauer, 82, of Bradford, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June15, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. Walt was born on December 12, 1941, in Peoria, the son of Marion Elmer and Lieu "Alma" (Elmore)Bauer. He was a graduate of Bradford High School. Walt served in the United States Army from 1962-1965. He retired from Chillicothe Metal Co., where he worked for over 30 years. He was married to Marion Gertrude Schmidt on August 12, 1989, at Francis Park in Kewanee. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2010. Walt was an avid bowler, enjoyed camping and was a member of the Kentucky Colonels. He also loved driving across the US.
